L’étreinte is a series of two digital prints created as part of a project entitled Porcelaine numérique (“Digital Porcelain”), which centres on an oscillation between the two- and three-dimensional potentials of porcelain. The porcelain objects in this series have been produced from a press-mold made with the textures of bubble-wrap and tin foil. Delicate forms were hand-built, glazed and fired. During the firing process, some of the objects have accidentally fused together creating this unexpected embrace that is now fixed in time.
Digital print on photorag paper, 10 x 10 in.
