The series of sculptures was made during my residency at the European Ceramic Work Center in the Netherlands. For this series, I first made a large-scale mold of my hands using a 3d scanner and a CNC milling machine. During the technical transfer with these technologies, my fingerprints disappeared, leaving lines that instead recall topographical maps. I constructed a series of landscapes, assembled in various ways, that is both my own and the result of a technological operation, a cartography that is simultaneously intimate and anonymous.
Porcelain, steel, approx. 7 x 11.5 x 9.5 in. for each piece of the series
