When Wednesday comes before Monday is a series of etching on Japanese papers, each mounted onto a piece of glass. In each box, there are four etchings mounted onto four different pieces of glass. It is possible to change the order of the pieces of glass by removing the bottom part of each box.
This modular sculpture is inspired by the ever changing patterns of ice during winter. I questioned the perception of a natural phenomenon—in this case ice—which is created over a series of specific events and I wondered if the natural phenomenon would look the same if I change the order of the series of events that produced it.
