The series Coiffe anhydre is composed of nine sculptures. Each sculpture is composed of a human skull cast in porcelain, on which floral arrangements, also in porcelain, are made in a variety of ways. The floral arrangements on the skulls echo the ritual hairstyles omnipresent in various cultures, as well as still lifes in which human skulls symbolize finitude and the passage of time. This series of sculptures thus evokes vestiges of rites of passage and of transformation through time.
